PCC Fabric Painting Class Something to Dye For

NORTH/NORTHEAST PORTLAND – Don’t limit yourself to what’s in a fabric store. Broaden your fabric horizons with the non-credit Portland Community College class, Dye Painting for Quilters, where students learn to paint their own designs on fabric using fiber-reactive dyes. This class is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27 in room 202 of the Fragmeier Building on the Cascade Campus, 705 N. Killingsworth St.Instructor Susan Gilsdorf will lead students through this dynamic form of painting that break the mold of traditional fabric painting, utilizing brushes, sponges, stamps and more to create impressive designs.
