PCC Offers Introduction into World of Computers

NEWBERG, Ore. – Portland Community College will be offering 10 non-credit computer classes this spring to help people brush up on their digital knowledge. The courses are instructed by Todd Kuntz and will be held in Building 11 at Newberg High School, located at 1300 N. Elliott Rd. They cover everything from introduction to computers to learning about the Internet and Microsoft Word. All senior citizens (age 62 or older) pay only half of the cost of the class.Introduction to Computers for Seniors Level I and Level II – The classes run from 9 to 11 a.m. and occur every Monday. These four-week offerings will begin with Level I starting April 2 and Level II beginning April 30. The cost for each class is $94. Access Level I and Level II – These offerings run from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Mondays. The four-week classes begin with Level I, which will start April 2 and Level II will commence April 30. The cost for each class is $94. Excel Level I and Level II – These courses run from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Mondays. These informative classes will go for four-weeks starting with Level I, which begins April 2 and followed by Level II, which starts April 30. The cost of each class is $94.All About the Internet/E-Mail and Instant Messaging – These offerings run from 1 to 3 p.m. on Tuesdays. They are three-week classes beginning with All About the Internet, which starts April 3 and E-Mail and Instant Messaging will commence April 24. The cost for each class is $74.Introduction to Windows 98 Level I/Word Level I – The two courses are slated to go from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. The four-week sessions begin with Windows 98 Level I starting April 4 and followed by Word Level I beginning May 2.
