PCC Offers Credit Classes in Calculus, Spanish, Writing

NEWBERG – Credit classes in calculus, Spanish and English composition are being offered this winter by Portland Community College. All classes will meet for 11 weeks at Newberg High School, 1300 Elliott Road.A four-credit Calculus I class will meet from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting Jan. 9, in Room 402. A lab will follow from 7:30 to 9 p.m. on both nights. The instructor is Hal Medici. Cost is $164.A four-credit First-Year Spanish class will meet from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, starting Jan. 8, in Room 105. A second session of the same class will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting Jan. 9, in Room 105. Cost for each class is $156. Both classes will be taught by Gabriel Montaner.The same instructor will teach a one-credit First-Year Spanish Conversation class from 7:35 to 8:05 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, starting Jan. 8, in Room 105. Cost is $39. A second session of the same class with the same instructor will be offered from 7:35 to 8:05 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting Jan. 9, in Room 105. Tuition is $39.A three-credit English Composition class will be offered from 6:30 to 9:20 p.m. Wednesdays, starting Jan. 10, in Room 402. Cost is $117.
