PCC Students as Transfers in 2024-25
In 2024–25, 6,153 students who had taken at least one credit class at PCC during the 2023–24 academic year went on to attend another post-secondary institution.
- 55% (3,405 students) enrolled exclusively at a 4-year higher education institution.
- 31% (1,901 students) attended a 4-year and/or 2-year institution as well as PCC sometime during 2024-25.
- The remaining students enrolled in a (non-PCC) 2-year college or both 2-year and 4-year institutions.
Top Transfer Destinations
While hundreds of different colleges and universities were transfer destinations, students were most likely to enroll in one of the following institutions other than PCC:
- Portland State University, 35% of transfers
- Oregon State University, 14% of transfers
- University of Oregon, 4.5% of transfers
- Mt. Hood Community College, 4% of transfers
- Clackamas Community College, 3% of transfers
Transfer Student Demographics
Of the majority of transfer students, those who attended a 4-year institution exclusively,
- 35% had completed a PCC credential,
- 33% were age 18-20 and 16% age 21-22,
- 54% were women, 40% men, and 5% nonbinary,
- 54% were White, 17% Latine/Hispanic, 12% Asian, 7% Multi-racial, and 5% Black/African American,
- 4% did not have a reported race/ethnicity, and
- American Indian/Alaska Native, Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, and International students each represented less than 1% of the transfer population.
