This photograph is the result of a project we were assigned in Photography 1 to explore editing in photoshop and add layers of other photos to your image. This photo has five photos that I took layered on top of one another and I chose how much of each one could show through. The idea for this photo started with the girl laying on a log giving the floating illusion. This is my friend that has struggled deeply with loss and depression and I wanted to show how beautiful our pain can be (the flower and nature) and how what we see depends so heavily on the way we look at it (the image can look very different if you turn it to different sides).
