I closed my eyes and saw this shape. It's meant to resemble a bowl and pedestal, and the form ended up reminding me of art deco, which inspired the colors of black, gold, and green. I wanted to explore the juxtaposition of rigid, straight lines with the third organically-shaped leg almost choosing its own shape. The third leg reminds me of a scaly snake, and the piece in general is very imposing and makes me think of the masculine and feminine.
