The Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) Department supports the mission of PCC by promoting health, safety and environmental protection throughout the District with the objective of maintaining a safe learning and working environment. EH&S provides leadership in developing and supporting policies, procedures, programs and training opportunities in support of the protection of life, property, and the environment. Programs include disciplines such as: environmental management (soil, water), hazardous material and waste, environmental health, chemical hygiene, biohazard safety, construction and occupational health and safety.

What’s Happening in EH&S

Join us at this year’s In-Service! EH&S will be at both Community Gathering tabling events on Monday as well as the Part-time Faculty In-Service tabling event Wednesday evening. Stop by to see us and learn more about the resources and services we have available to the PCC community.

We will also be presenting a Professional Development session on Tuesday morning at 10am, “Clearing the Air on Indoor Air Quality at PCC“. Participants will learn about common PCC indoor air quality concerns and how to address them to achieve a positive resolution. Topics addressed will include indoor air quality contaminants, how contaminants enter the workplace, perceived vs. actual indoor air quality risks and communication paths to raising and resolving indoor air quality concerns.

We hope to see you there!
