Sylvania Campus Wayfinding – Bus or Shuttle to CC Building
Heading towards the CC Building on the Main Access Sidewalk
- As you trail on your right down the Main Access Sidewalk heading west to the CC Building you will be descending a gentle slope. After walking about a car length you will come to your first intersecting sidewalk. This sidewalk travels north along the east side of the library (parallels the sidewalk where the Trimet shelters are) and goes to the north entrance of the library.
- Continue past this sidewalk trailing on your right. The building line on your right is the Library. The next intersecting sidewalk is about half way down the library building line and is defined by a raised curb (short retaining wall) on each side of a wide sidewalk. This sidewalk goes down one set of steps to the south entrance of the library on your right and a sidewalk to your left.
- Continue past this intersecting sidewalk on the Main Access Sidewalk still traveling west trailing a short distance until you reach a third intersecting sidewalk.
Three Access Points to CC Building
- Standing on the Main Access Sidewalk at this third intersecting sidewalk there are 3 access points to the CC building. Access 1 is directly to your right and goes to the East side entrances of the CC Building. Access 2 is directly in front of you and goes to the South side entrances. Access 3 is at 10 o’clock and goes to the South side entrances and also to the ST Building. To reach Accessible Ed & Disability Resources in the CC Building Access 2 or 3 is the most direct. This can be a confusing junction. If you trail on your right and find all 3 access points it will give you a better idea of this junction.
- Access 1 to the CC Building East side entrances will be directly to your right. The sidewalk is a very gentle descending slope that starts near the library and travels at an angle away from the library to the CC building (the library and CC building are parallel with each other). Trailing on the right you will pass an intersecting sidewalk on your right going to the south entrance of the library and steps mentioned above. Go past this and continue trailing on your right down a descending sidewalk. When the sidewalk flattens out you will be about one third of the way down the east side of the CC Building.
- Access 2 to the CC Building and South side entrances will be directly in front of you past the intersecting sidewalk of Access 1. Continue trailing on your right and you will find a ramp directly in front of you. Descend down the ramp heading in a westerly direction and when it flattens out continue straight ahead and listen for the building line. You will be crossing over the sidewalk that runs alongside the east side of the CC Building. When you find the building line you will be at the corner of the east side and south side of the CC Building.
- Access 3 to the CC Building and South side entrances. Go past Access 1 and turn left and cross over the sidewalk you are on (access 2 will be on your right). Once you detect the dirt shoreline in front of you turn left again keeping your shoreline on your right. You will be following an upside down U shape pattern following this shoreline on the right. It will go straight for a few steps, turn right for a few steps, and then turn right again. Once you make these 2 right turns you will continue to follow this shoreline on your right till you reach 2 sets of steps. Go down these steps heading west and continue trailing on your right. When the shoreline ends, cross over the intersecting sidewalk (there is a steel grate to your right). When you reach the other side of the sidewalk turn right (north) and follow the shoreline on your left crossing over the south side sidewalk to the CC Building. You will be close to the corner of the east side and south side of the CC Building.
Accessible Ed & Disability Resources Accessibility Center in CC 260
- If you take Access 2 continue west with the building line on your right.
- If you take Access 3, once you have the CC building in front of you turn left and make sure the building line is on your right (there may be recycling bins along the wall on your right. You will now be traveling west on the south side of the CC Building .
- Continue trailing or walking close to the building line on your right. If you trail there will be walls with small recessed areas about every 6 feet.
- Staying close to the building line you will know you have reached the main entrance doors because there will be a noticeable down slope or ramp just before the doors. When you reach the slope, find your building line on your right and trail until the sidewalk flattens out. There are 2 sets of double doors.
- You will be entering the 2nd floor of the CC building.
- Upon entering you will be facing north and will have a carpeted ascending ramp in front of you. This is an entrance area with 2 sets of double doors in front of you. Trail on your left and walk up the ramp until the carpet ends and you reach the next set of double doors.
- Go through the doors and take an immediate turn to the left (west) , trailing the south wall on your left. Disability services will be the first door on your left – Room 260.
Restrooms at south-end of CC
Men’s
- There is a Men’s restroom in the entrance area. After entering the building if you trail on your right as you ascend the carpeted ramp, it will be the first opening on your right before you go through the second set of double doors into the main CC building.
Women’s and All User’s
- If you trail past the door to Accessible Ed & Disability Resources you will reach the west wall of the CC Building in front of you. Turn right (north) and go past the doorway to Veteran Services. Travel a short distance trailing on your left and you will reach a set of descending stairs.
- At the bottom of the steps continue a short distance and the first opening on your left will access the restrooms. After turning into this short hall, immediately to you left is an All-user restroom and immediately to your right is a Lactation room. The second door to your right is the Women’s restroom.
