Sylvania Campus Wayfinding – Bus or Shuttle to HT Building
Traveling to HT from the Bus or PCC Shuttle
This is the most direct access from any of the bus stops to HT Building that bypasses the CC Building. Included are routes to the north pathway from the 44, 78, shuttle bus, and Lift.
44 Drop Off
When you disembark from the 44 (facing west), shoreline on the right (instead of left to go to CC Building). You will feel the sidewalk turn to your right and you will be traveling north. Once you start traveling straight ahead (going north) switch over from trailing the shoreline on your right to trailing your shoreline on the left. You will have the Library Bldg. down a hill on your left.
Bus Shelters
If you’re coming from the 78 bus turn right (bus shelters will now be on your left) and keep trailing on your left. After the bus shelters you will pass a concrete trash can, bench, trash can, bench, and trash can. Continue trailing on the left (north) and you will be on the northbound pathway with the Library Bldg. down a hill on your left.
Shuttle Bus or LIFT
If you are coming from the LIFT or Shuttle Bus – walk north as if you’re going to the Main Sidewalk to the CC Building. Continue past that opening and you will locate the bus shelters for the 78 and 44. Follow the direction from the Bus Shelters.
Traveling North alongside the Library
As you travel north trailing on your left you will have the Library Building down below you on your left, the parking lot behind you and on your right, and an open lawn area with large trees directly to your right. The pathway will be fairly level. When you feel the shoreline angle slightly to your right and a small decline you will be approaching an opening the will take you to the north entrance of the library and the south entrance to the Performing Arts Center (PAC Building). Go past this entrance and pick up your shoreline on your left again.
Continue trailing on your left for some distance and the sidewalk will start sloping down for a long distance. Keep trailing on your left – you will be passing the PAC Building . The next opening you reach will be a set of stairs. Turn left and go down these stairs. (If you miss the stairs the sidewalk will flatten out and you will have a building line, the Campus Bookstore on your left).
Go down 2 flights of stairs (heading west) and then start trailing a short retaining wall on your left. You will pass a service sidewalk on your left. After passing the service sidewalk continue trailing on your left. You will come to another angled intersecting sidewalk. Be careful crossing this opening as you can easily get “pulled” into it because of it’s angle. After crossing this sidewalk you should start hearing a building line to your right. This is the Communication Technology Building (CT Building) Level 2 and “Little Theatre”.
Continue trailing (heading west) on your left and you will pass 2 more intersecting sidewalks as you walk the full length of the CT Building. After crossing the 2nd walkway you will reach a metal plate and half wall. The half wall has the bottom half recessed so it’s an offset wall. Continue trailing this half wall on your left. As you trail you will have the HT Building D level on your right. Stay on your left and you will pass the men and women’s restroom and a recycling bin. Continue trailing on your left until you reach a set of stairs.
Go down 2 sets of stairs. At the bottom of the stairs you will be facing north with the HT Building Level C or 200 in front of you and the CC Building will be quite a ways in back of you. Walk up to the building line and turn left. Trail the building line on your right. There will be a double set of entrance doors on your right. This is one of 2 sets of entrance doors with the second set of entrance doors to your left.
