Posted by

Volunteer Opportunities Newsletter

Friends of Trees is recruiting new Crew Leaders for the 2017-2018 planting season!

Being a Crew Leader is a great way to meet awesome people, build valuable leadership skills and, of course, learn how to plant trees that preserve and provide numerous natural benefits for future generations.

A required one-day training will give you all the skills and knowledge you need to know to rock this role. We are holding training sessions on three separate dates:

  • October 28th
  • November 4th
  • November 11th

About the Organization

The Friends of Trees Neighborhood Trees program works with Portland’s Bureau of Environmental Services, Vancouver Urban Forestry, the City of Beaverton, the City of Salem, and the City of Eugene to offer homeowners great prices for quality trees and help bring thousands of more trees to our city’s lowest-canopy neighborhoods.

About the Volunteer Opportunities Newsletter

The Volunteer Opportunities Newsletter allows students, faculty, and staff at PCC a more comprehensive look at volunteer needs and opportunities from our community partners. Our hope is that the newsletter will allow subscribers to stay better informed about community service opportunities in the tri-county areas of Portland, Oregon, as well as non-profit internships and scholarships available locally and nationally.
