Volunteers needed for Friends of Trees work party!

Friends of Trees will be at Errol Heights in SE Portland to care for newly-planted trees and shrubs as we prepare for the dry summer season. No experience necessary–we provide gloves, tools, and trained leadership to help you do your best for these young trees and plants! This will be our last public event until we get back into the planting groove in the fall, so come out and help us send out the 2016-2017 season out in style!

  • When: Friday, June 23rd, 9am-12pm (Please arrive around 8:40am to be assigned a work crew and enjoy some free breakfast snacks and hot coffee/tea. The event will start promptly at 9:00am)
  • Where: Errol Heights, 4543 SE Harney Dr, Portland, OR 97206 – look for Friends of Trees signs as you get close

Groups of Volunteers Welcome! We ask that any group of 5 or more simply pre-register via our Group Registration Form.

We provide gloves (youth sizes, too!), tools and guidance–no tree care experience needed! Be sure to come dressed for the weather wearing sturdy closed-toe shoes, work clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, a hat, and get ready to have fun! If you have any questions or need further information, please don’t hesitate to be in touch with our Volunteer & Outreach Program at 503-595-0213. We hope to see you there!
