Spotlight on our CBL Faculty Coordinators!
Cascade | Lisa George
Lisa has invited PCC Instructor and author, Linda Pope, to speak about her award-winning classroom project! Join them on Monday, January 23rd from 1pm-2pm in Cascade’s TLC to learn more about her experience combining community partnership and service with a deeply engaging curriculum. CBL Faculty Coordinators will be on hand to answer questions about CBL afterwards. Light refreshments will be served.
Congratulations to both Lisa and Linda! During Passion Impact’s Reaching for the Stars celebration, both faculty were individually recognized for bridging the gaps between students and organizations in an empowering manner.
Rock Creek | Alissa Leavitt
Alissa has joined the CBL Team for Winter 2017 and Spring 2017! Alissa has been teaching in Health Studies at Rock Creek since 2011and was part of our 2014-2015 Faculty Cohort. She is excited to support the CBL efforts of PCC faculty, especially at the Rock Creek campus!

Laura traveled to Philadelphia over the Winter Break to present her work on Digital Humanities: A Social Justice Practice at Two-Year, Open-Access Institutions at the 2017 Modern Language Association Convention!

CTE | Diane Shingledecker
Diane will be on sabbatical during the Winter 2017 and Spring 2017 Terms completing the PSU Graduate Certificate in Service-Learning and Community-Based Learning in Postsecondary Education. Read her recent articles Applied Destruction and Breaking Through with My Least Favorite Teaching Assignment published by the Community Works Institute.
