Friends of Trees: Plant with Friends of Trees in SE Portland! (Saturday, Feb 4th)

Join Friends of Trees and local volunteers as we plant street and yard trees in the neighborhoods of Laurelhurst, Kerns, Sunnyside, and North Tabor on Saturday, February 4th!

This fun, community-centered planting event is part of a larger effort to bring the long-term benefits of trees to the areas of Portland with low tree canopy.

When

Saturday, Feb 4th, 9am-12pm (Please arrive around 8:40am to be registered in time to enjoy some free breakfast snacks and hot coffee/tea. The event will start promptly at 9:00am)

Where

Community of Christ – Portland Congregation, 4837 NE Couch St, Portland, OR 97213 –look for Friends of Trees signs as you get close

Groups of Planters Welcome! We love a planting posse! We ask that any group of 5 or more simply pre-register via our Group Registration Form.

We provide gloves, tools and guidance–no tree care experience needed! Be sure to come dressed for the weather wearing sturdy closed-toe shoes, waterproof layers (rain pants, rain jacket) you don’t mind getting dirty, a hat, and get ready to have fun!
