Bienestar: After-school homework helpers needed for K-6 students!

Give students in grades K-6 the chance to excel in school by volunteering with Bienestar’s MpowR Club!
As a volunteer tutor, you’ll work closely with students to increase their academic potential, with a specific focus on the subjects of math and reading. Working directly with young students over the course of a semester or full academic year, you’ll help to build them a foundation for a lifetime of educational success.
Under the direction of a Bienestar employee, you will:
- Provide one-on-one tutoring assistance with homework from all school subjects
- Promote literacy skills through weekly reading activities
- Lead hands-on group educational activities and crafts
WHEN: Monday-Thursday; 3-5:30 p.m.
WHERE: Elm Park and Juniper Park Apartments community rooms
TIME COMMITMENT: At least one day a week per semester
