Friends of Trees: We Need Summer Tree Inspector Volunteers!

Posted by

Have you ever wanted to learn how to care for a newly-planted tree? Do you have a flexible summer schedule and would enjoy being outdoors as a volunteer?

If you answered yes to those questions, Friends of Trees invites you to join our Summer Tree Inspector team! Being a summer inspector gives you a chance to meet your neighbors and to help teach them how to best care for their trees during the critical first summer after planting. You’ll receive expert instruction regarding tree care techniques from FOT staff and professional arborists. **Registration is required–please register via the link below**

We are looking for enthusiastic Tree Inspectors in all of the neighborhoods we plant in, but we could especially use Inspectors in the NoPo and East Portland neighborhoods! Training dates below but *registration is required*. To sign-up, follow the link below.

Saturday, May 14th (SE Portland): Hinson Memorial Church, 1137 SE 20th Ave, 97214

Saturday, May 21st (Vancouver, WA): Vancouver City Hall, 415 W 6th St, Vancouver, 98660

About the Organization

The Friends of Trees Neighborhood Trees program brings Portland communities together by the simple act of planting a tree…together. Our efforts, and the wonderful work of our volunteers, has helped to increase the urban canopy in Portland and bring the benefits of trees to communities that need them the most.
