Develop skills for successful parenting, learn more about your roles as a parent, and enhance your relationship with your children through these courses, taught by PCC parent education instructors with expertise in working with children and adults.
Some classes are lecture and discussion, and others are interactive, with parents and children together. The classes are taught by PCC parent education instructors with expertise in working both with children and adults. Each class is tailored to age-appropriate topics, which are chosen by the participants and instructor. Topics typically include development, guidance, communication, self-esteem and health issues.
Transferable Credits
PCC does not offer a degree in parent education, however parent education classes are lower division collegiate courses. Credits earned from parent education courses may count as:
- Elective credits
- General education credits
