Virus Protection (FireEye)

An antivirus product is a program designed to detect and remove viruses and other kinds of malicious software from your computer or laptop. Malicious software – known as malware – is code that can harm your computers and laptops, and the data on them. PCC uses a program called FireEye to monitor and protect computers on our network from malware. This software won’t be visible to you and will automatically report issues to the Information Security department. There is one exception to this. If your system has detected something is wrong, the system is placed in containment and will communicate that to you with a message indicating your network access is blocked. Please contact the PCC Service Desk (971-722-4400) if you see this message.
