Kace Endpoint Management

Kace endpoint management services allow PCC IT to more efficiently manage computer inventories and report on both hardware and software assets, provision software to users, deploy patches to fix vulnerable software titles, and streamline the imaging of computers. The services also offer a machine operating system imaging solution. Kace saves the college time, allowing the PCC community to stay productive as deployment and updating processes run in the background, freeing up more time for teaching and learning. No personal information is collected by Kace, such as the contents or names of personal files (documents, email, etc) or any browsing history.

Kace solution is split into two distinct services depending on purpose:

  • K1000 / SDA – Used for post-deployment machine management: inventory, asset management, software delivery, license tracking, scripting, service desk, and reporting.
  • K2000 / SMA – Used for deployment of standard operating system imaging to Windows machines. Allows for network booting to provide remote device deployment options.

All devices owned and maintained by PCC have Kace installed prior to customer deployments.
