  • Information security governance
    Establish and maintain a framework to provide assurance that information security strategies are aligned with business objectives and consistent with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Information risk management
    Identify and manage information security risks to achieve business objectives.
  • Information security program development
    Create and maintain a program to implement the information security strategy.
  • Information security program management
    Oversee and direct information security activities to execute the information security program.
  • Incident management and response
    Plan, develop and manage a capability to detect, respond to and recover from information security incidents. If you’ve detected a security problem involving any of the College resources, we’d like to know about it, and can help you with incident response. We can also assist with evidence collection and help with recovery option recommendations to prevent a re-occurrence.
  • Awareness and training
    We offer presentations and instruction/outreach to address Information Security needs. The emphasis in awareness is to personalize security with an emphasis on regarding the computer is secondary to the person in terms of protection. Training is offered free of charge to any student, faculty, staff group, or department.
  • Consulting
    We consult with groups upon request to perform security audits, address security problems, improve the security of existing networks, and assist in the secure design of new networks or computing systems.
  • Special events and meetings
    Part of our goal is to promote the use of good security mechanisms and procedures and to promote awareness of security issues. One way we try to accomplish these goals is through the NAC Security Sub-Committee, Information Security and Privacy Committee, Copyright Committee, and other special events.
