Key focus areas for IT over the Summer: with the recent successful migration to Banner 9, the Banner team will be upgrading the Banner 9 platform to the latest release from Ellucian. The network team will complete installation of the new core switch infrastructure, which will resolve transaction capacity challenges for the next few years. In addition, the team is near completion of a detailed plan for the Bond-funded network upgrades to be scheduled over the next couple of years. In partnership with the Bond, Media Services will upgrade 34 classrooms over the summer – including new podiums and laser projectors. The InfoSec team are on track to have Splunk fully operational for the start of fall term – providing advanced threat monitoring, reporting and analytics. Our enterprise architect is partnering with several groups regarding business intelligence (YESS), digital strategy, instructional technology, data management & workflow, and other forward-looking initiatives.
