CIO brief: Celebrating Banner upgrade milestone

Banner 9 is live and is being used by hundreds of employees! As a reminder, Ellucian schools were notified in February 2017 that Banner 8 would no longer be supported after December 2018. This effectively meant August 2018 due to the Fall Term processing timelines. Banner 9 is a completely different technology than Banner 8 – so this was an intense forced march for the Banner team, including retraining and “learning on the job”. It was also an unanticipated workload of analysis and testing for the Banner System Managers and our Banner users. Congrats to all involved!
