Campus contacts

Let's watch some timeless classics of 20th Century European cinema. Italian Neorealism, French New Wave, British Kitchen Sink, New German Cinema, and more. Amazing films that changed the world and established cinema we know today.

Watch some of best films from around the world. We'll pick films from Italy, France, Germany, The U.K. After watching these films we'll have informal discussions, learning about the culture, the art, the business, and history of each film. No silent films. No dreadful four-hour Swedish movies of sad people playing chess. No hyper-violent Asian films. Be forewarned, we might see an old black and white Italian film. Most of the films will be in color. We'll primarily focus on the post-war period of 1950-1980, with films by Renoir, Fellini, Antonioni, Godard, Truffaut, and Herzog. Arrangements for viewing the films are through a private Internet streaming service. Currently planned films include: Grand Illusion, Diaboliques, Blow-Up, Young Girls of Rochefort, Jules and Jim, Day for Night, Withnail and I, Naked, Fitzcarraldo, Wings of Desire
