Women's Snowshoe Beginner - Latourell Falls

Campus contacts

Looking for a lower adrenaline way to explore the beauty of a Pacific Northwest winter in a supportive environment? You will learn snowshoe basics at Latourell Falls with Mt. Hood as our beautiful backdrop. Transportation, snowshoes, poles, and guides provided. If you can hike, you can snowshoe!

This women specific class will create a safe space to learn and connect with other women interested in exploring the PNW. Designed for first-timers and those that have experience but want the comfort of going out with a group, we will introduce you to the snowshoe gear and talk about the basics of Winter sports safety while enjoying the views of the forest and mountains. Your trip includes transportation from PCC SE Campus, snowshoes, poles, water, hot beverage, all permits and passes, emergency equipment, expert medically trained guides, and the natural history of the areas that we explore. If you can hike, you can snowshoe and we will show you everything you need to know! What if there is no snow? We will still enjoy a beautiful hike, or alternate location if there is snow available elsewhere.
