Details about this class
This course and the second section, MSD 223, provide an overview of the Human Resource (HR) function. Covered are the philosophy, tools and practices of effective HR work. Emphasis is also given to the importance of HR work to line supervisors and managers, and how the line organization can best work with the professional HR person or group. Line managers are also urged to tend those parts of HR work that fall within their responsibility.
