You'll gain skills and comprehension in analyzing medical reports for coding and billing. This course is vital for individuals new to a health care field. This is basic understanding of what you read, write and communicate in a healthcare field.

Required text: Medical Terminology, A Living Language 6th Edition, Fragment, Fracht. ISBN: 978-0-13-407025-4 (NOT available at PCC bookstores).

Must have basic/intermediate computer skills, and personal discipline, task organization and time mgmt. Expect to invest a minimum of 2-3 hours of study per hour of lecture in order to be successful in this course. More info: 971-722-6627.
