Details about this class

This course is a survey course, which means that we will learn about a different aspect of communication study areas in each week's module:

  1. History of Communication
  2. Expressing Messages
  3. Listening
  4. interpersonal Communication
  5. Intercultural Communication
  6. Group Communication
  7. Organizational Communication
  8. Health Communication
  9. Media Studies
  10. Career Development & Civic Engagement

In each week's module, we will engage in discussion about the week's topic and complete an exercise to apply the concepts. Discussions will be due on Thursdays and exercise assignments will be due on Sundays (along with a three-day flexibility grace period). We will have a mid-term and final research paper in this class.

As your instructor, this is one of my favorite classes to teach because each week is different yet also interplay together; it is an interesting course and I look forward to learning along side of you in this class.
