Details about this class
Here is an easy-to-follow list of key features of this class.
- This 5-credit course includes both lecture and lab. It is fully online, no scheduled meetings, although you are expected to watch and take notes on the lecture videos as if you're in class and there are weekly due dates.
- This 5-credit course is like taking 2 courses – lecture and lab. It requires 15-20 hours per week for lecture and learning activities, homework, exams, and lab activities.
- Skills needed: organizational skills, time management, close reading and attention to detail.
- There are assignments due Day 3 of the class to show class participation or you may be dropped from the class.
- Labs are done at home using an at-home lab kit. It’s expensive ($250-300), but necessary for a fully online class.
- You’ll also need to purchase the online homework/e-text, unlike last term.
- I’ll send an email before the class begins with ordering details for both.
- Please check your PCC email regularly. To forward your PCC email to another account, go to PCC gmail Settings, then select the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab at the top.
As an instructor, my goal is to help you fill in the gaps for your learning, help you stay on schedule, provide feedback on your progress, and provide guidance on how to succeed in the course. If you want to learn, I want to help!
Please contact me at stacey.fiddler@pcc.edu if you have any questions. :)
