Course Description
In this class, students will earn the purpose of accounting, how financial information is recorded using U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and how financial statements are prepared and analyzed for external decision making.
The course emphasizes both conceptual understanding and practical application, including transaction analysis, the accounting cycle, internal controls, and financial statement analysis. Students will develop analytical skills essential for evaluating the financial health and performance of businesses.
BA 211Z is the complete traditional financial accounting principles course and is recommended for students pursuing careers in business, accounting, finance, entrepreneurship, or any field that requires financial literacy.
