Details about this class

BA 205, Business Communication is an online course with scheduled Zoom meetings every Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:50 p.m.

Our first Zoom class meeting will be held on Monday, January 5, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Please join on time, as we will review important course information and begin our first in-class activities.

Zoom Session Meeting Expectations

  • Attendance is required for all Zoom sessions.

  • Cameras must remain on during class to support engagement.

  • Active participation in discussions and exercises is expected.

Plan to dedicate approximately ten to twelve hours each week to online coursework, activities, and assignments.

Technology

To succeed in this course, you must have regular access to the following:

  • A reliable computer (desktop or laptop) that can run Microsoft Office programs.
  • Microsoft Office (Word and PowerPoint are required). Most students can download Office 365 for free using their college email account.
  • Consistent internet access to view course materials and submit assignments through D2L.
  • The ability to record short videos for presentation assignments. You may use a webcam, smartphone, or tablet, as long as the audio and video are clear.
  • No editing is required for video submissions. You will upload your video files directly to D2L.

No show policy

Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.
