Details about this class

This is an in-person hybrid class. Your attendance is REQUIRED on the scheduled day/time of the course. The class meets weekly throughout the term. 

Week One will require that you attend the first class session on Monday, January 5th. In addition, you will have Week One requirements that must be completed in Week One, or you may be withdrawn from the course by the instructor. There are no exceptions to this policy, per PCC. 

During weekly class sessions we will cover fundamental Microsoft Excel skills for creating professional business worksheets, covering data entry, formulas, formatting, charts, and functions. This course focuses on using Excel for business problem-solving, data presentation, and analysis. 

Course outcomes will be addressed with lecture, in-class discussion and demonstration of Excel technology, required assignments, and course projects.

Software: 

  • Microsoft Excel (2021); You may access Microsoft Office 365 (which includes Excel) for free at www.office.com. Note: You MUST download this and install on your PC, you cannot utilize the online version. 

No show policy

Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.
