Details about this class

Welcome to online Social Studies for the GED and College Prep with Amy!  I'm looking forward to working together this term.

This is an online class with an optional Friday Zoom class from 10-11:50.  You can also watch the class video recording.  All of the materials will be available to you in D2L throughout the week, so you can access the content when you have time.

You can check out this information padlet for more detailed information about our class: https://padlet.com/amyboehnke/introduction-to-online-social-studies-for-the-ged-and-colleg-7zf6eto653whm23b

I'm happy to answer any questions you might have: amy.boehnke@pcc.edu

Technology

Having a computer for class is highly recommended. PCC libraries have some to check out and borrow: https://www.pcc.edu/library/equipment-for-checkout/ You can also access D2L on a tablet or phone using the D2L Brightspace App: https://www.pcc.edu/help-desk/student/desire2learn/pulse/

No show policy

Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.
