[This is a remote hybrid course, meaning we will meet on Zoom once per week and the rest of our work will be done online using D2L.]
The demand for content has never been greater - from bingeable television series to mobile content to feature films! If you have a concept but no idea how to execute it, if you've ever watched something and thought, "I could write that!" or if you're simply a storyteller looking to experiment with a new format, this course will equip you with the fundamentals of writing for the screen.
Coupled with analytical readings for popular and award-winning television pilots, students will discuss the art, craft, and business of screenwriting before taking part in the process of a simulated Writers Room which mirrors the real world of television writing.

No show policy
Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.

Before you take your first online class at PCC, you must complete the start guide for online learning. The start guide will help you decide if online classes are right for you. Once you complete the start guide, you will be eligible to register for online classes.
