Details about this class

Hello! Welcome to Integrated Reading and Writing 115!

In this eight-week course you'll be practicing academic reading as well as writing a personal narrative and learning how to participate in the research process, step by step, in order to learn how to write a research-based essay.

You will be able to choose your own book of interest to read of at least 200 pages. This can be one you already own, a library book or a new one you purchase, either hardback, paperback or eBook. You will be given reading activities based on this novel or non-fiction book. You can either select one from this list or a comparable Lexile level (1200) one here: Recommended books lists - Reading - Research Guides at Portland Community College (pcc.edu)

I look forward to having you in this course and learning together this summer!

Best,

~Jocelin
