Details about this class
Thanks for your interest in PS 201: U.S. Government! This is an online class, meaning it will be conducted 100% online through D2L. The are no on-campus requirements, and there are no remote class meetings. I will pre-recorded video lectures to present/discuss the course reading material. The online teaching/learning format provides students with maximum flexibility in completing weekly assignments, in accordance with weekly deadlines. Required activities include discussions, exams, a research paper proposal, and a research paper.
The required textbook can be purchased through the PCC bookstore or through an online bookseller. Used copies are available for around $50-$60. The text will also be available on 2-hour reserve at the Cascade Library.

No show policy
Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.

Online Prerequisite | Start Guide for Online Learning
Before you take your first online class at PCC, you must complete the start guide for online learning. The start guide will help you decide if online classes are right for you. Once you complete the start guide, you will be eligible to register for online classes.
The Start Guide is not required for Remote classes but strongly recommended.
