Details about this class

Welcome to our class!

There is no textbook to buy for this class. All course materials are free and online, provided on the course page on D2L. I've shared just 3 examples of resources we will be using to in our class.

There are no Zoom or in person meetings for this class. You will work through the week's material on your own. I am available by email to answer questions or set up a Zoom call to talk with you anytime. I'll also be giving you feedback along the way. There are 10 short, weekly Quizzes, 10 online Discussions with your classmates, and 10 weekly Assignments.

Our class will help you learn the purpose of the stress response and how to balance it with the relaxation or calming response.

You will learn to apply that information in the weekly Assignments through practicing different calming techniques and reflecting on what you learned.

The goal is not just to learn about stress, but to improve your own health and well being and to better understand others.

take care,

Valerie
