CEU4028 Local Anesthesia for Expanded Function Dental Assistants
This course reviews the concepts of pain management through the use of local anesthetic agents. Participants will learn the fundamental principles of pharmacology related to anesthetic solutions, dosages, vasoconstrictors, drug interactions, neural physiology, anatomical features, medical history evaluation, contraindications for local anesthesia delivery, and the management of adverse side effects, including medical emergencies. The course also includes laboratory and clinical practice in basic local anesthesia injection techniques, including block and infiltration methods.
