Beginning Drawing

Explore foundational techniques and principles of drawing. Practice working with mark making, line, space, value, and perspective. Use media such as graphite, charcoal and ink. Class includes drawing time and instructor demos.

This course introduces the visual language of drawing, basic perceptual drawing techniques, media and tools as well as personal expression and creative problem-solving skills of sighting, measuring, composing, and constructing in drawing. The course will explore the use of line and value to create and manipulate form, volume, and composition.
