APR166 Industrial Rigging

Covers the use of fiber rope, chain, slings, strapping, wire rope, and scaffolding when moving, repairing, and maintaining heavy industrial equipment and industrial site utilities. Includes applications to overhead cranes, tower cranes, mobile cranes, boom cranes, hoists, and fork lifts. Emphasizes safe work practices when rigging. Prerequisite: APR 164, and (WR 90 and RD 90) or IRW 90 and MTH 20 or equivalent placement or department permission. Audit available. (See course content and outcomes.)
