Fully online course: no weekly meetings, but there are lots of opportunities for class discussion, peer review, and one-on-one Zoom sessions with the instructor
Self-paced learning: complete daily tasks at your own pace, with most due dates occurring on Thursday and Sunday evenings
Develop one major essay for the term: choose your own project topic related to a major social/cultural issue that impacts your life and the lives of your loved ones and community members
Learn key research skills: these include creating bibliographies, drafting reverse outlines, incorporating sources, engaging with opponents, and lots of library catalog/database research

Online Prerequisite | Start Guide for Online Learning
Before you take your first online class at PCC, you must complete the start guide for online learning. The start guide will help you decide if online classes are right for you. Once you complete the start guide, you will be eligible to register for online classes.
The Start Guide is not required for Remote classes but strongly recommended.
