Details about this class
This is a fully online course. Our work together will unfold entirely at a distance, without regularly scheduled meeting times and without Zoom. All course activities will take place asynchronously in D2L, allowing you to engage with the material at times that best fit the rhythms of your own life and responsibilities.
At the same time, this is not a self-paced course. Learning, like most worthwhile human endeavors, depends on attention and presence, even when that presence is shared across time rather than space. We will move through the course together, guided by weekly deadlines and a common schedule of readings and discussions. You will be part of a community of readers and writers, and I hope you will come to recognize familiar voices—mine and your classmates’—as the weeks pass. I am very much looking forward to getting to know you through this shared work.
There is a required textbook for the course, which can be purchased at the Bookstore for $19.00 (new).
You can learn more about this course and me by checking out the Syllabus.
