Women's Mountain Biking: Beginning

Campus contacts

New to mountain biking? Perfect for beginners, you will learn the bike basics and essential skills like braking, cornering, and body position on flat terrain. Finish the session with a guided trail ride to confidently put your new skills to use. Bike and helmet provided.

If you've always wanted to mountain bike, but unsure about the financial investment and how to stay safe, then this class is for you! We start from the beginning with bike basics and technical skills on flat, open land. After demonstrating successful techniques, our guides will end your class with a short on trail bike ride to put your new skills to use. This is beginner friendly and starts with the very basics. Participants are often mountain biking for the very first time, or after a long hiatus from the first time they rode, or have ridden with friends and haven't been able to "figure it out." This class does build on basic bike riding skills - if you have never ridden a bike and do not have basic bike balance skills, contact us via phone or email to make sure this is the right choice for you. Please bring: comfortable shoes, weather appropriate attire, snacks and water. trailsdiverged@gmail.com
