Details about this class

This course will be conducted in a format combining online and in person elements. The content (lecture) part of the class is online with detailed notes and video lectures for each chapter. Labs will be in person and will be held on the Rock Creek campus.

The class grading will include a weekly reading quizzes, weekly discussions, weekly homework, midterms, lab worksheets and a comprehensive final exam.

The textbook for this course is Conceptual Physics, 12th edition by Paul G. Hewitt. There is a custom version of the text available at the Rock Creek bookstore (with only the chapters we use). Other options include an e-book version that can be purchased online (see syllabus for details).

Technology

There is no additional technology required for this class.

No show policy

Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.
