Details about this class
This is a beginner class to learn to play guitar and read music on the guitar. We will cover learning to read music, fingerpicking, chord strumming, and some practical music theory.
You will need to have a guitar for this class. Any type of guitar can work, but I highly recommend a classical (nylon string) guitar. Classical and some flamenco guitar techniques are taught. The coursework is broken up into weekly modules with weekly quizzes and assignments to help you to learn better.
You will need to have a functioning camera and microphone to submit your weekly assignments.
The class begins with classical guitar technique, standard notation, and finger-picking. It later moves to tablature, chords and strumming. You can transfer this class to other schools, such as Portland State University.
You should plan to practice a minimum of 20-30 minutes every day.

About me
I love learning about the world!
I lived in Spain for much of my life, so I speak Spanish fluently.
As a child, I lived in the south of England (Sussex).
I am one of a very few female flamenco guitarists, though I also teach folk, classical, and beginning guitar!
Everywhere around the world, humans make and play amazing music! Just like you!
