Details about this class

Thank you for your interest in Math 105! This is great course (if I do say so myself!) filled with content that you can actually use in real life!

This course is structured with weekly modules along with weekly due dates for assignments. There are lecture videos to watch with notes to fill in as you go, practice activities to complete, a write up, and a quiz each week. All of this is completed online, and you choose when to work on the different activities each week according to your schedule. Most weeks you should expect to spend around 10-12 hours working on course activities.

There is no penalty for completing modules at your own pace, provided they are completed by the final deadlines - one at approximately week 5 that coincides with the first exam, and one during finals week that coincides with the second exam. You are strongly encouraged, however, to follow the weekly schedule :)

Technology

We will be using spreadsheets in this class. I will primarily be using google sheets in my demonstrations.

We will also be using the online statistics application GeoGebra.

You will also be expected to scan written work into a single pdf document. This can be done either with a scanner, a scanner app on your phone, or you can create a pdf from pictures of your work.

No show policy

Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.
