Details about this class

This an online class and there are no Zoom meetings for this class.  You will work through the week's material on your own.  There are weekly Discussions and Quizzes to complete as well as 4 larger assignments that require college-level reading and writing.

There is no textbook to buy for this class.  All course materials are free and online and are provided in the course.  

In this class, you will be learning about Children's mental, physical, emotional, cognitive, and social health and development. You will discover strategies to promote better health and well being for children.

This class uses the model of Social Determinants of Health to define the root causes of health disparities and solutions to remove these barriers.

This class is part of the General Education requirement (Gen Ed.).
