Details about this class

Welcome to our class!

We will meet together once a week on Zoom on Wednesdays from 2:00 pm to 3:50 pm for our Weekly Discussions, some short lectures, and other learning activities.

The rest of the week, you will work independently on weekly readings/audio and video content and a weekly Assignment and short Quiz.

There is a textbook you will need to rent or buy BEFORE the class begins. Shipping times have been delayed recently, so get the book as soon as you can.

You can use a paper textbook or the E-book version, whichever is best for you.

  • Stress Management for Life, 5th Edition
  • Authors: Michael Olpin and Margie Hesson

We will also look at a variety of free, online, evidence-based resources about stress.

Our class involves learning what stress is and how it affects our health: mental, physical, social, and more.

You will learn to apply that information through self-reflection, to your own life, to better manage stress.

You will work on weekly Assignments. These will help you learn to create lasting habits in your life to improve your health and well being.

There are short weekly quizzes to check your knowledge of the material from the the textbook. They include multiple choice and true/false questions and you can use any notes you take or the textbook while taking the quizzes. There is no midterm or final exam.

The goal is not just to learn about stress, but to improve your health and well being with this knowledge.

I look forward to meeting you on Zoom!

Dr. LaRosa
