Details about this class

GRN175 The Aging Mind course invites us to consider the aging mind from a life course perspective and a bio-psycho-social approach. We will explore what recent research can tell us about normal age-related changes and how we can support healthy minds through physical lifestyle choices (exercise, nutrition, etc.), and being socially engaged. We will review impacts of trauma, including racism and other forms of discrimination on our minds. We will identify ways in which older adults can participate in life-long learning, creative expression, spiritual growth, and connect to purpose and meaning.
