This is a class full of history and learning, so be ready to learn about pioneers and how our education system has been evolving, or not, over the past decades.

Be sure to purchase the book as soon as possible at the PCC bookstore using the course number. If you do not have the book, you will not be able to do the assignments. The book title is as follows:

The book title is: Foundations of Education, 13th edition by Ornstein, A., Levine, D., Gutek, G., and Vocke, D. (2017). Belmont, CA: Wadsworth, Cengage Learning.  There are cheaper-e-versions available.

If you are new to online learning, I highly recommend you take the time to get oriented and review the orientation materials using the following link - PCC’s online learning preview as it goes into more detail about being an online learner at PCC. You are also welcome to ask questions by calling /emailing the help desk - 971-722-8200, especially when there are technical problems. It is critical that you schedule our Zoom meeting times on your calendar as participation is very important. We will meet for 1.5 hours and we will present and participate during our time together.
