Details about this class
This is a hybrid course. Students will come to class at the Hillsboro Center on Thursdays from 1 PM to 2:50 PM. Students will be required to complete online assignments each week before coming to class.
Technology
This class uses an online homework tool called Achieve by Macmillan Learning and a free online digital textbook. Students are required to purchase a digital subscription to Achieve. Students can purchase access codes in the PCC bookstore or can purchase their subscription directly from Macmillan online at a slightly lower price. If you buy an access code at the PCC bookstore it will be slightly more expensive but you can use financial aid to pay for it. Instructions will be provided the week before class starts.
No show policy
Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.
