Details about this class
This class meets in-person once per week and has required online content weekly. A typical class meeting will include a short lecture or demonstration, group activities and/or open lab time. Online content includes recorded lectures, quizzes and D2L activities.
- Lectures and demonstrations will be recorded upon request, as much as is practical
- Group activities will be conducted during class time. Alternate assignments will be provided if a student is unable to attend a class, and needs to make up a group activity.
- This class requires completion of both in-person synchronous and online asynchronous (D2L) activities.
- Here is a sample syllabus. There may be minor changes for this term, but the structure will be very similar.
Technology
Assignments for this course require the use of 3D CAD software. Students may use Solidworks, Inventor, AutoCAD and/or Fusion 360. I will use Solidworks for most assignment demonstrations.
Students may continue to use student licenses installed for previous classes. A remote cloud option for accessing CAD software is available as well, if needed. Contact me for more information or questions.
No show policy
Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.
